Located just over 700kms southeast of Perth, on the Bay of Isles, Esperance is one of Western Australia’s treasures. Renowned for its turquoise water, dramatic coastline and pure white sand.
Explore The Great Ocean Drive, this spectacular tourist loop stretches 38kms; allowing for a scenic tour of local highlights along the coastline. Outstanding stop off locations include the Rotary Lookout, West Beach, Blue Haven, Twilight Beach and Ten Mile Lagoon.
There are five national parks situated around Esperance. Each is unique, yet all share common elements, including the prestigious coastline, tranquil bush walks, and the beautiful surrounding fauna and flora. Located 48km from the centre of Esperance is Cape Le Grand National Park with its massive granite peaks and where the friendly kangaroos at Lucky Bay can be seen lazing on the luminescent beaches - a must see.
WORLD CLASS BEACHES
Esperance’s most renowned feature is its magnificent beaches, the coastline acclaimed for having some of the whitest beaches in Australia.
Esperance’s Pink Lake (in town) unfortunately isn't as pink as it used to be. These days it's more of a 'blush', however, the other very pink lake is Lake Hillier, Middle Island. This can be seen by fixed wing, helicopter or boat tours, which generally only run peak holiday season.
Explore our region with your 4WD. Wylie Bay (beach access) is 5 minutes down the road from ECV. Get into 4WD mode and hit the sand (make sure to check tides). The spectacular drive stretches all the way to Cape Le Grand, beach fishing, swimming and surf spots along the way including local break Kelp Beds.
